Cox Classic, Basking Ridge, NJ, 10/1/2012

Amira and Pierre -- shown here deep in negotiation to determine who would get to
eat the last chocolate tartlet (see dessert plate in front of Pierre) -- generously
took time away from their move back to Brooklyn to join us at the CC23 reception
 and its bountiful flow of free food and drinks.

Their heated discussion became moot shortly after this photo was taken when
Aunt Donna reached obliviously across the table, snatched the tartlet, and asked
  "Anyone going to eat this?"  Before either of them could reply, she took a healthy bite,
and c'est la vie. (Fortunately, the dessert table in the other room was still laden with
 dozens more of these delicacies, so all's well that ends well.)

Cox Classics

The Cox Classic, October 1, 2012, New Jersey National Golf Club,
 Basking Ridge, NJ

Semi-annual duffer Steve Marion, modeling his multi-purpose
 (hiking, coal-mining, golfing, guitar-picking, shit-kicking) boots
 which, like Denard Robinson, he prefers to wear untied. 

Team Marion was unable to overcome a slow start on the course
 at this year's event and sadly did not place. Fortunately, copious
 drinks and a bountiful buffet helped one and all very quickly
forget our undeniable deficiencies....

Congrats to Commissioner Mikey Marion and his team,
especially Donna Dear, for pulling off yet another
 spectacularly memorable Classic, all for the best of causes.
